Here is the completed flag.
I made some of the shadows a bit darker and played with the picket fence a bit, then removed miskit from stars and stripes and added shadows.
I'm pretty happy with it!
July the Fourth, Fluid Acrylic on watercolor board, 14x20

I like it! I can see why you are happy with it and just in time for the 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice Deb...and in time for the 4th of July. I bet you could market this design as a very popular card!
ReplyDeleteOh Deb...this is a prize winner. No kidding.
ReplyDeleteThe blue shadows on the fence against the yellow house...the angles and the great windows all set the flag off. You are the queen of painting folds. Perfect for the 4th of July!
Thanks guys - and it looks just as good "in person"! (Sometimes they look better itty-bitty on the web!)
ReplyDeleteit is a great painting Deb. You should be proud of it as you have done Old Glory a great justice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your ever so kind comments on my blog
Well done - love the variety of blues in the fence :)
