ROSES - 2

The coral rose has the most layers, beginning with some Quin. gold. I added Quin. coral, Quin. rose and then played with adding them as needed. I believe I used some indanthrone blue in the shadows.

  4. Trains, teapots, ornaments, jars, and now roses. I don't believe you've met a subject yet that you can't paint beautifully.

  6. Deb and Rhonda - glad you like the petals!
Teresa - layers - you betcha! That's the key! I like white backgrounds sometimes - especially for these roses since they take center stage!
Lisa - while I sincerely appreciate your comment - you ain't seen me do none a them pesky landscapes now, have ya! (i.e. I cannot paint landscapes - or portraits) so that's 2 subjects I cannot paint!! (but who's counting!!)
Jeanette - flowers are easy and fun - no fear there! You can do it!
