HYDRANGEA - 3

Then it was time to tie some of this together, since I think it looked too haphazard with each flower part painted separately, although I liked the look. So I began deciding which parts went together and giving more shade and depth to the flowers, and then added more color to the stems.

    and I have found the looser I am with them the better they look. I give you lots of credit for this beautiful rendering.

  2. It looks very, very good! On top of the gorgeous petals, I especially like how you kept nice highlights and how you have worked the background. I can imagine how serene and beautiful this will be once matted and framed!

  3. Barbra - I seem to always paint tight, can't seem to overcome that. Thanks for your compliment.
    Christiane - due to the lifting paints I used, I was able to scrub out some highlights.
