HYDRANGEA - 3
Then it was time to tie some of this together, since I think it looked too haphazard with each flower part painted separately, although I liked the look. So I began deciding which parts went together and giving more shade and depth to the flowers, and then added more color to the stems.

Oh Deb it was fine before and just as fine now.. Gorgeous. ! good work .. they are not easy to paint
ReplyDeleteand I have found the looser I am with them the better they look. I give you lots of credit for this beautiful rendering.
It looks very, very good! On top of the gorgeous petals, I especially like how you kept nice highlights and how you have worked the background. I can imagine how serene and beautiful this will be once matted and framed!

ReplyDeleteChristiane - due to the lifting paints I used, I was able to scrub out some highlights.
