IRIS - FINAL

I puttered with the flowers and buds and sharpened them a bit.
Then a loose, washy background and the painting was completed.

  2. OH my gosh Sometimes you blow me away. How big is this painting? I want to know more about how you added the juicy background AT THE END without disturbing the flowers.

  3. Thanks Granny, Christiane and Ginny.
Ginny - the painting is 1/4 sheet; the background was painted by wetting each area and then dripping in some blue, maybe green, and maybe some purple as it was drying.

  5. A lovely painting of some of my favorite flowers. Love the washy bacground too. Also, I enjoyed your latest post about the ants, bugs and pollen. Hope you aren't floating away.
