Here another wash of color has been added, miskit still applied.
Then I removed the miskit and began working on each jar, slowly(!).

Cynthia Schelzig
It is just looking better and better!
Memories of my grandmother's cellar before she canned the tomatoes and made the most awful pickles in the world! Love the cools and warms in this one.
Lisa, Cynnie and Vicki - thanks!
Rhonda - was that "awesome" or "awful" pickles???
Someone told me they had painted jars a few years ago and a man viewing the painting was overheard to say "why should I buy that when I can go to my mom's basement and see the real thing?"
Glad to know you all appreciate this!!!!
Niiiice! I want to touch those jars, does that sound crazy? can't wait to see how you work that wooden shelf
Deb, I am not sure if those pickles were awful or awesome, but your painting is awesome:-) Great reflections, great warm-cool contrast.
Beautiful! Just beautiful! I love old mason jars and this painting shows them to perfection. Love the way you worked those colours, Deb.
Thanks Teresa - if you think you can touch them I've done my job!!
Christiane - thanks - maybe I should have put pickles in the jars!!
Fascinating watching this develop :)
Looking great!
Thanks Deb Leger (your comment didn't come through until today!) - they needed some color, not too much tho, and the paper kept soaking it all up!!
Thanks Pat - and thanks for stopping by!
