Beautiful, beautiful colour in those petals, Deb!!!! And the stem, too - but oh those petals!!
This rose is delicious! Great colors, good shapes on all those petals curling over :)
Layerslayerslayers, just my cup of cake, yums! Such a delicate look Deb, I'm loving the white backgrounds of these demos too, make the roses pop up even more
Trains, teapots, ornaments, jars, and now roses. I don't believe you've met a subject yet that you can't paint beautifully.
This is lovely. The colours and transitions are beautiful.
Getting over my fear of painting flowers has to be on my to do list for 2011!
Deb and Rhonda - glad you like the petals!
Teresa - layers - you betcha! That's the key! I like white backgrounds sometimes - especially for these roses since they take center stage!
Lisa - while I sincerely appreciate your comment - you ain't seen me do none a them pesky landscapes now, have ya! (i.e. I cannot paint landscapes - or portraits) so that's 2 subjects I cannot paint!! (but who's counting!!)
Jeanette - flowers are easy and fun - no fear there! You can do it!
Beautiful rose. Love the colors, they are so vibrant. Looks great on the white background.
Simply beautiful Deb.

What a beautiful rose. THe colors are so luscious and rich. I came to your blog from a friends blog and have really enjoyed browsing through your work. You are a talented artist and I especially enjoy what you have to say about art topics behind the scenes. :)
Thanks Gaylynn and Joy!
Hi Karsten - thanks for stopping by - now go paint!!!!
Hi Crystal - your flowers are amazing and "resplendent"!! Loved your peony too! Glad you enjoyed my work - and hope you stop by often.
Behind every female artist there is a sugardaddy husband who pays the rent for the artistic endeavors--Deb's Husband and art critic and proof reader
As you can see, my husband got into my blog and left a comment (unknown to me). Since it wasn't tooooo uncomplimentary, I'll leave it up (and make sure it never happens again!!!) The Real Deb Ward!!!
