Colors used were (mostly Daniel Smith): cobalt, quin. rose, raw sienna, cobalt teal, burnt sienna, Venetian red, Indian red, French ultramarine, payne’s gray.
I must remember to ask my daughter if it “needs more detail”!

It's an awesome piece, Deb.
Great finish! I love the light and all the details that you have achieved.
What a crazy mix of lines and shapes - how did you keep from getting lost? Really amazing! Are you going to put anything under it (grass/dirt/etc) to ground it?
Deb, what can I say? This is a very impressive watercolor. Wow!
Wow! Your work is inspirational. I love your colors and I wish I had time to work on a piece with such detail.
Amazingly detailed! The colors that shine through are beautiful. I'd love to see this in person.
Carol, Christiane, Vicki, Gretchen - thanks so much for the compliments.
Rhonda - what - me lost? No way (ha, ha). No background - isn't it busy enough??? (LOL)
Carrie - talk about detail - you do it in very small paintings! Thanks for the compliment!
Oh my, this is really something! I can't imagine drawing such a complex subject ... but, obviously, painting it must have been fun: great colors!
Amazing painting! I love the detail, colors, a daunting subject and you nailed it. Bravo!
Wow, now that's a painting. The complexity and detail floors me. You've done a wonderful job on this and the colours work beautifully.
Laura - it was fun to paint, very "zen like"!
Gaylynn - thanks!
Jeanette - high praise from a great artist - I sincerely appreciate the compliment.
Deb, I cannot think of any words not used here, all I can do is bow down to your talent for detail. Every time I hear one of my artist buddies bemoan the fact that they just can't paint loosely, and that seems to be their goal, I will refer them to this painting and let them see what artistic beauty can be seen in the details!
I love how you started out by dropping in subtle colors wet-in-wet and then gradually got more detailed, yet keeping with the smoother textures where needed. There is a lot to love about this painting!
Wow, Susan - thanks for this wonderful compliment.
Skizo, thanks for stopping by.
My husband asked me to put up this comment for him:
All of your comments about my wife's talents make me very proud of her. But behind every artist is a sponsor who creates an environment in which the artist can work without the need to worry about the food bill, the medical insurance, the house payment, etc. Unless your art is self financing your existence, give thanks to those who support you in your endeavors.
