I continued
adding tape, then pouring paint in this progression for the peony.

Very interesting...what kind of tape are you using and how do you cut it - do you tear it, etc.?
This will be lovely.
Just plain, old masking tape from hardware store - but some kinds act differently. This one didn't let any "bleed through" which I would have liked.
