The final painting.
I had to repaint between the girders after removing the tape since too much of the paint flowed underneath. It may have been a "happy accident" since I like the look of this better.

Deb, this is one of my favorites of all your paintings.
I love the limited palette…the unusual perspective, and the gorgeous clock. Immortalizing 11:30 which I take to be in the morning due to the color of the glass. Morning is almost done…the afternoon and evening are still ahead. I have some clock photos I'd like to do some day. I love the patterns the girders make (my Zentangle genes love them). Just got back from viewing the National Watercolor exhibit in Manatee, FL. This could have been there!
Thank you so much. It's different from what I usually do; maybe it will make it into a show some day!
Wow.. the drawing alone made me shiver! I have a similar photo of a clock in a UK train station- with a lot of girders in the backdrop.I always liked it but never thought that something like this could be attempted in watercolor. But of course, you are the magician when it comes to detail :)
Oh, this one will make it into a show. Very different, very nice and you could have such a story to go with it! There is something simple about it, but very complicated in the composition and lines = very good job!
Thanks Arti - you are way too kind!
Rhonda - yep, simple but complicated - that's me!
Wonderful, Deb....the perspective is so trickey and you've nailed it beautifully. You definitely need to enter this one somewhere....love it.
Beautiful work!
