YUPO PEONY 7 - FINAL

I added some paint to define petal edges and put in the pink center. I’m not sure if that is too much pink so I’m living with it right now. If I decide to knock that back a bit, I’ll use some alcohol on a Qtip to rub it out.
Well, guys, I’m still not a Yupo lover, but I may do a few more paintings in this genre and hope they turn out as good as this one!

Ut-oh, sounds like you might be changing your mind about yupo! ha ha I think the center is too pink right now - you could tone it with some of that nice purply color? I like the edge bleed and you might be able to get that look without taping (doing like Nick's sewing-machine stitch in tiny dots around here and there)?

Excellent results, I would say!

Rhonda - not a total mind change! I agree with the too pink and like your suggestions - which will be "taken under advisement"!
Thanks Arti and Kathryn!

Deb,

This is gorgeous! Would like to see a little more intensity in the center. Maybe you could darken the yellow shape to the right of the pink center. Then the pink won't look so strong.

Beautiful. You may not have a total mind change about Yupo, but you are certainly starting to change my mind about it, at least the beautiful results that now do seem possible with that paper.
I am sure that you will deal with that touch of pink so that you like it better.
Looking forward to your next gems on Yupo.

Gorgeous colors, textures, Deb. Bet this is even more striking IRL. Why not mute that pink with a hint of green? Just a thought to consider. :)

This is gorgeous, Deb. My suggestion would be to intensify the gold shape to the right of the pink center. Then the pink won't look so strong and our eye will be carried to the focal point better.

Thanks Pat.
Kathy - I'll keep your ideas in mind when I get a chance to work on it agian.
Christiane - there will be more to come (some time!) I promise!
Nancy, thanks for your compliment, but still haven't changed my mind!
Ann, it is very vibrant in person. I'll also keep your idea of the green in mind when I sit down with it again.
