My painting appears at the top of the label!
Good news to report . . . .

My painting, Teapot and Orb on Pink Silk, won Second Place (and a pleasant amount of money!) at the Rising Sun Art Exhibit, much to my delight!

The show draws a number of well regarded area painters from a large area of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, and after viewing some of the paintings, I really was honored that my painting even came up for an award!

In addition, a local winery was offering samples - and they had kindly created some custom labels just for the show.

So, in addition to my prize, I got a wine bottle (empty, of course!) to bring home as a souvenir!

Woo-hoo Deb! Rhonda hinted that someone she knew placed in this show but didn't say Who...I was hoping it was you, and it was!

This is so deserving of even a first place or Best of Show, you are just the best.

Thanks to all for your comments. The label was a cute idea, totally unexpected, but a nice souvenir.
