TEAPOT - 3

Sneaking up on those shadows in the roses, and adding some color to the "not lace"!  Also more color to the pot an some of the reflections painted in.
After the demo I received an email from someone who told me she tried to paint lace the next day and it was the first time she had been successful - due to the fact I talked about  painting "not lace" - it helped her understand negative painting!  That was cool!!

The roses pretty much finished, lace finished, and a bit more color added overall.

And, by the way - today is September 2 - my birthday!  "Happy birthday to me"

I love this painting, it reminds me of my grandmother, because she had a rose just that color and I ended up with the bush when she passed away. It still blooms beautifully. This is so beautiful. Wishing you a late Happy Birthday!!! keep celebrating all week long, Diana

Gorgeous reflections on that pot but what's getting me curious now are the shadows in those flowers, oh so many pretty colors!

Happy, Happy Birthday! I love what you're doing with the roses, the teapot is beautiful, and you have an incredible talent for painting lace. The reflections in the teapot really draw your eye into the painting.
