THURSDAY W I P

Several  years ago I took some photos of wrought iron patio chairs at a local herb farm.

Originally I thought I would pour this photo, but after looking it over again I decided direct painting was the way to go!

I printed out the photo in line work and enlarged it.  Even so, there is still a lot of drawing in that needs to take place before painting can begin.

Hey, I remember that wonderful trip out to the herb farm and those chairs :). I truly truly planned to be at GCWS Wednesday but my head decided it would rather give me a migraine all day :(. Ah, spring!!! Well, I'll keep trying to show up until it works out - just don't be too shocked to see me sometime in the future!!

Dear Deb - looks like this will be a great piece when it is finished. Hope you have a super week. Hugs!

I tried a similar chair many years ago...the intricate shadows were amazing.
But I really bogged down on the detail...I think I did not do enough planning before I started.
I can hardly wait to see how this turns out.
