I painted an old, red VW which is titled “Dead Bug”.
Seems like anyone who ever owned an old bug takes a liking to this painting, but it also seems like they all had a different color bug! I did paint a yellow bug for someone who saw the red one and wanted a gift for a friend who used to have, of course, a yellow bug.
People will ask me “Do you have it in green (blue, yellow, etc.)” as though the painting is like a sweater in a store. Unbelievable!

Deb, just do a series of each color so you can sell one every time! ha ha I know what you mean - what's wrong with the red one? I never had a bug but those who did remember them with such fondness - almost like a favorite pet! Hey, better yet - make one psychedelic with all colors - now that would please everyone!

Great job and I like it just as it is. I still have a 1972 red bug sitting in the yard. I guess I need to get busy and paint it.

Thanks for the comments - but I'm not in the auto painting mood now!
Vicki - get busy painting the car - it's fun!

Ouch! Thanks for passing along that inane comment... that goes in the permanent collection. Great pithy title, too.
