After more "fiddling", I feel like it's done, but what do you think?Maybe crop the bottom a bit, just below the white one?
I think I'll let it sit a while and study it.

I'd love to see this one in person - looks great! One little nit and I'd wait for other comments because it may just be my eyes but...in the lower left the arrow shaped thing leading our eye into the painting is the only thing I see that is that color - so my eye goes there easily but goes back a lot, too. Maybe tone it down a bit? Beautiful job on this - is it half sheet (did you say already and I forgot?)

Rhonda - good eye - also don't know about the shapes in the lower middle?? Like I said, maybe just crop it in. It is 1/2 sheet.
Deb, I love this piece!! I am of two minds on the cropping -- the vague shapes at the bottom edge are so unlike the rest of the gourds that it doesn't quite fit, but if you crop it, you'll have that very light gourd at the edge. What to do....
I love this and yes, I want to know how big it is. And I'd love to see this matted and framed. If it were me, I might find one or 3 small places in it to tweak in an unexpected color for a surprise. I just think it needs a surprise somewhere. This is crafted beautifully and I am lost in the wonderful shapes. I want to reach in and pull one out and touch it and hold it in in my hand. I am tempted to ask that silly question...how long did this take? But I already know the answer...a lifetime.

This is gorgeous! Wouldn't hurt to crop where you said, but it looks fine just as is too.
deb.. been running in circles like everyone else, but wanted to stop by and wish you a wonderful merry merry christmas.. have enjoyed seeing all the work youve completed and i've missed.. i'll be back later to just enjoy and drool!!

Ginny - you are right - some other color might be good.
I'll have to try fiddling with sizes and colors and will post more when I get back to it - for now it's resting comfortably on the back of the sofa in the library/studio!
