YELLOW LILIES - PART 2

Once the drawing on the tracing paper was complete I made some adjustments and when I was happy with the final changes, I put Saral transfer paper under the drawing and traced it onto the painting - here you can see the graphite lines.

Even though the lines are now drawn onto the watercolor paper, I will still make small changes as I begin to paint.

In starting the painting I decided to paint more on the lilies themselves rather than the background. At this point, I’m not so sure that was the best idea!

Nancy - it's an interesting technique, you never can anticipate what will happen, even with a plan in mind!
Christiane - it looks better on the "small screen"!!!
Deborah - thanks for stopping by. I'm sure you will like this technique - it is fun! And thanks for calling me talented (but not so sure about that title!)

Hi Ann - not sure about that "beauty" thing! But it's coming along!

I love the yellow/green combination so you got me sold already with this one, and the hint of reds on the lillies are looking great so far so don't hesitate! just go with the flow, is going to be a winner :)

I'd be almost tempted to just paint 2 more lilies like the first (gorgeous!!) and leave the rest splattered and drizzled and open like that but looking forward to see how you finish it up.

Teresa and Rhonda - I have worked a bit more on it, will have that up soon. Thanks for your kind words, too.
