MARBLES - FINISHED!

After all of the marbles and pouches were painted, I put a blush of lunar blue (DS) on the background . . .

. . . and then began painting the words and the marble at the top.

I removed the misket from the marbles - which turned out to be a nightmare!  I had used some older miskit and had left it on a bit too long.  Some came off fine, other spots had to be removed with an Xacto knife!
Let that be a lesson to you!!!

A few more tweaks of the shadows and adding some screws at the end of the box . . .

The completed painting.

It looks great, Deb! I admire your determination with this one - those marbles would have made me lose my marbles!!

Congratulations. What a sense of accomplishment you must feel when you finish such a challenging painting. A whimsical and nostalgic, and beautifully executed, painting!

Nice work! Ambitious on the marbles. I would go cross eyed painting them, lol. How did you keep from loosing track on where you were?

I can't even imagine the patience required for this painting. It turned out really well!

Thanks all! I was just about "losing my marbles" when the miskit would not come off! Now on to other things - and I will not leave my miskit on so long again!

Deb, this is a wonderful painting! I know how you feel with the miskit by my own experiences. You have outdone yourself on this one!

Deb, have you ever considered counseling for this masochistic detailmania you are plagued with? LOL. I cannot find words for how much I admire this! Great finish.

Susan, too funny! Now when I want to get out of doing something I can tell people that I have "masochistic detailmania"! (Sounds like a truly serious disease!) Thanks!
