CHALLENGE PAINTING

This is the first time I’ve done a painting to the specifications of a “challenge”. This one was to include one or more of the following: wood, a shoe, a sphere, something yellow and something from the refrigerator. Got all but the frig item. It did not win an award, but overall I’m pretty happy with it.

“Quick Change”, 16x16 Ampersand aquabord with casein.

Looks great to me, Deb. I'm thinking, "did she just finish her tennis game and now it's time for the red shoes and a night out" or "did she get out of those red shoes and into some comfy tennies for a game of tennis with a friend"? Either way, it works.

I think it's wonderful--and very clever too: you managed to suggest a narrative from those diverse objects!

Thanks, guys! You both expressed what I was trying to convey exactly.
I didn't bother to varnish it tho, so some day it will probably be "all gone" and I'll paint another one over it.
