Well, this is as finished as it will get - didn't come out exactly as it was in my head! But it's OK and something worth doing over some time.
Tea Set, Fluid acrylic on watercolor board, 14x18
P.S. - Thanks to all of you who commented on my previous post - and I swear I did hit "publish" - but when I looked at the blog - they were GONE!!! Yikes - this has happened before - not sure if that was me hitting the wrong button or blogspot losing them! Just want you to know I do appreciate and publish comments - usually - unless I accidentally UN-publish them - just blame it on old age!!!

A beautiful and sensitive painting, Deb. Great work on the golds. Bravo! And unless we both are having old age issues at the same time, it looks like blogger is losing comments.
Beautiful finish! Blogger has been having some issues with comments the last couple of days.
Did you gesso the watercolor board first? I am not quite sure what "watercolor board" is.
This is technically beautiful. I like the negative space. The colors are lovely. But something IS missing. It doesn't have that "emotional" quality I usually see in your paintings. I really can't fault a thing about it. The perspective is right on the mark (I have a lot of trouble with ovals and yours are wonderful.) The shading is nice. Maybe there is no "story"? There is no teacup..the pitcher is empty. Is no one home? What is the story? Could something be added?
I like it Deb. Great job. Thanks for the post on my art blog. Yes. I do seem pretty busy. Sometimes it can be overwhelming such as now with a big art show coming up here where everyone wants framing done. I do it for them. Ahh!
Enjoyed reading your Mayberry moments. sounds a lot like around our little town.
Deb, before you delete my message, :-) I hope that you will have a chance to read how much I like this painting: its delicate shadows and colors, the beautiful design on the porcelain all combine to create such a relaxing and calming effect.
Lisa - thank goodness it's not us! Seems it was that doggone blogger!!! I'm happy with the gold (and that's about it!)
Vicki - thanks, but this is either a toss out or do over!
Gary - I commiserate on the framing issue! Good luck on the art show and then slow down and enjoy your scenery!
Christiane - I didn't delete it, I swear! Glad you like it - but see my comment to Vicki above!
Ginny - it's a heavy board - Crescent or Strathmore. This was from a photo taken in a local shop so I was only interested in the tea set - no real emotional connection, you are right that something is missing and no "story"! Sorry to disappoint!
beautiful painting...
the golden linings are perfectly captured...
the way in which the pictures on the porcelain looks is also beautifully painted...
congrats...
Joy, thanks for the comment!
