SKIES

Facing west

Facing southwest
The other day I looked out the living room window and thought it was going to be raining any minute – then I looked out the other window and saw beautiful sunshine! It really looked like two different days! So I had to take photos of each “day”.

These pictures were taken within a minute of each other!

I thought you were an Ohioan? Those pictures - and conditions - look exactly like my Michigan.

Will you try to paint these? Or just enjoy your skies?

I am a sky watcher too, but can't see enough when I'm home in the suburbs with tall trees all around. Right now at the cabin I have a seven mile lake in front and a big bowl of sky to which I am always looking (but not predicting).

I'm a Hoosier (Indiana)! I may attempt to paint some skies sometime. I'm not a landscape painter, though, and besides, I have lots of other painting ideas floating in my brain! Just thought it was so interesting that the sky looked like 2 different days at the same time!

I'm an Ohioan and these are identical to the skies I have been seeing - definitely a sign of an early fall, I think. That and the fact that it is going to be in the 40's tonight.
Your photos are lovely, Deb.
