PEARS AND GLASS - 4

Working on the stripes - from light to dark.
The finished product.
This entire painting was done with the QoR colors.  It took more glazing to get as dark as I needed to, but I'm not sure if it was the paper or the paint.  Once completed, I'm fairly content with the painting.

Deb, Really like this one. At first I was thinking, why are the stripes, seen through the glass darker than the orange stripes, but I should have known that it was just an undercoat layer of color. One thing that is always very successfully done in your pieces is the idea of "compositions within the composition". Each pattern of elements has their own composition. Very nice.

That's just lovely! A lot of work, for sure. You must be a very patient person (not like me).

Thanks Tom! There is almost always under layers, layers, . . . . .
Arti, your compliment means a lot!
Carol - not sure if I'm patient or crazy!
Thanks Rhonda - but I always think I can do better!
