WATERCOLOR BATIK - SHAKER VILLAGE HOUSE

I think this watercolor batik looks very much as it looked inside my head!!!  (LOL)
I'm happy with the shadows on the side of the house.  The grass could use some work, but overall it looks OK to me.

Look at that sky and those shadows! OK you are making me want to pull out my batik stuff again. Great job Deb.

Thanks for dropping by Stan! I like this one better than the corn.
Vicki - I'm happy with the shadows too! Even the sky looks a bit "cloudy"! I hope this does inspire you!

I especially like the batik effect in the sky and in the shadow across the front of the house. Well done!

Love the shadow work in this batik and those luscious warm tones next to the cools.

This one inspires me too, Deb! Lovely work, and the shadow pattern is awesome.

Looks like an interesting technique- how much time did you take to finish this? The sky has come out so nicely- so is the shade on the wall.

Christiane, Anne and Lisa - I'm pretty happy with this one.
Arti - Thanks for the comment - I don't usually keep track of time spent, a few hours (one afternoon) I think.

Wow, you sure let things percolate a long time before tackling them, Deb! When did we go there?? I like this a lot - it works well, good sky, shadows, etc.

Rhonda - I do take a while, don't I! Percolate? Hmm, I think of it as ideas banging around in the recesses of my brain until they finally fall out and become reality! I think our trip was early May???
